This Little Piggy is a non-profit, private club, supplying its members in East Central Illinois with the best locally-produced foods – small-batch, handcrafted foods that are otherwise hard or impossible to find.   (The software we use for the Club section may make it look like shipping is an option, but that is not the case.  All orders must be picked up in person.  Due to legal restrictions, food cannot be shipped out of state, so please don’t ask.)

Currently, the club carries charcuterie by Laurence Mate (This Little Piggy himself), artisanal breads by Stewart Pequignot, single-source, fair trade chocolate by Daniel Schreiber, and Amish-made butter.

While the Director of the Club is a food service sanitation manager, certified by the state of Illinois, and while every effort is made to ensure the quality and the safety of this food, be advised that most of it is not made in a facility certified by local Health Districts and cannot legally be sold to the public.

For each item offered in the Club, you will see a dollar amount.  This is a suggested donation amount, calculated to cover the Club’s operating expenses.  (You are free to donate more, but please be advised that donating less than the suggested amount will result in the loss of Club membership!)

Neither the club nor anyone who performs services for the club assumes any liability.  Members participate in the club, any club activities, and consume the food supplied by the club entirely at their own risk.  [Any pleasure you derive from eating the finest food in the area is entirely your own and need not be shared with anyone.]

In order to participate in This Little Piggy's club, you will need to create an account for the club area of this site, which you can then use to place orders (guests also welcome to browse). If you are already a member of This Little Piggy's blog, this club account is separate from your blog account but you may certainly use the same credentials if they are available when you register for club membership.

I acknowledge and agree to these terms. Take me to This Little Piggy's club

The Illinois Department of Public Health advises that eating raw or under-cooked meat, poultry, eggs or seafood poses a health risk to everyone, but especially to the elderly, young children under age 4, pregnant women, and other highly susceptible individuals with compromised immune systems.  Thorough cooking of such animal foods reduces the risk of illness.
